We are a manufacturer of medical products that are sold throughout the world. We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to support our Supply Chain Team. The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for assisting with the everyday logistics needs of the company.


  • Manage container process with activities such as building containers and sending container shipping plans.
  • Responsible for sending Booking Requests.
  • Coordinate with Logistics Manager on logistical issues, as appropriate.
  • Oversee the timeliness and accuracy of Container receiving Process.
  • Work with International vendors to manage the Supply Chain process.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and upkeep of inbound container files.
  • Work closely with Warehouse Supervisor to ensure containers are processed and materials are shipped in a timely manner.
  • Check and approve freight invoices to ensure forwarders are meeting pre-approved shipping cost.
  • Publish weekly logistics reports as needed.
  • Identify process and reporting improvements to improve efficiencies.
  • Build effective internal relationship with other departmental leaders and support personnel.
  • Build and maintain relationships with freight forwarders.
  • Assist with duties, and other projects, as assigned by departmental leadership.


  • Education: BS/BA Degree or Equivalent. Certification by APICS or Institute for Supply Management is desirable.
  • Experience: 2 plus years of related experience
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong ability to multitask and handle competing priorities at once
  • Strong knowledge of Logistics processes and requirements (domestic and international.)
  • Strong coordination and organizational abilities
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Familiar with laws, regulations and ISO requirements as they apply to logistics
  • Good computer skills especially working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
  • Good decision-making skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
